How do I set-up and operate the Whiz Strip Flower Stem Cleaning Machine?
The Whiz Strip flower stem cleaning machine has two holes with nuts and bolts, that can be bolted to a table. This is a safety measure. BE SURE TO HAVE THE MACHINE SECURE BEFORE USING. PLEASE BE AWARE THAT THE FOLIAGE COMES OUT THE BACK SIDE OF THE MACHINE. FOR THIS REASON, INDIVIDUALS OPERATING THE MACHINE, AND THOSE NEAR THE MACHINE DURING OPERATION, SHOULD WEAR SAFETY GOGGLES. KEEP ALL LOOSE ITEMS - HAIR, CLOTHING, JEWELRY, ETC., AWAY FROM MOVING PARTS. ONLY USE THE MACHINE AS INTENDED.
Select the flowers you wish to clean, cut the string on the bottom of the bunch. CHECK STEMS FOR ANY PROTRUDING STEMS/BRANCHES, AND REMOVE THEM COMPLETELY BEFORE INSERTING INTO MACHINE. Leave the paper wrapping on the heads. Plug the electric cord into a 110 volt electric outlet and turn on switch.
Hold the bunch of flowers just below the heads and feed the stems into the Whiz Strip. Feed them into the machine until the desired amount of leaves are removed. Remove flowers from machine and turn the bunch one quarter of a turn and do again until flowers are clean. While the flowers are still together, take a sharp knife and cut all the stems at once.
